Troubleshooting Audio/Sound issue in your computer

Checking the Basics:

1. Unplug and replug the speakers wires. (Check whether Audio works or not)
2. Check whether its ON.
3. Switch on the computer. Keep tapping either F10 key or the Delete key to enter the BIOS. In the BIOS settings choose "Use Default Settings" to be used and save by pressing F10. Restart and let the computer go to the Desktop. (Check whether Audio works or not)

Checking inside Operating System (Windows):

1. Right-click on "My Computer" icon and select Properties.
2. Click on the "Hardware" tab.
3. Click on the "Device Manager" button.
4. See whether anything is shown below "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" by clicking the + symbol near that.
5. If you're unable to see anything beneath the device...then it clearly states that the device is not installed.
6. Install the Audio driver and restart the computer. (Check whether Audio works or not). Even if this doesn't work try step 7.
7. If you have another computer, check wether the speakers are working in that one. If so, the first computer's Audio card is defective.

If Step 7 fails, then it clearly states that Speakers are defective. Buy a new one.
