+ 2000 AD Prog 1631-1658 Complete

2000 AD is a multi-awarded, long-running and still-ongoing weekly British science fiction-oriented comics anthology that serializes a number of separate stories each issue (called a "prog") that has been at the cutting edge of contemporary pop culture since it’s first publication by IPC Magazines in February 26, 1997. IPC, later Fleetway, continued to produce the title until 2000, when it was bought by Rebellion Developments. Due in part to its weekly publication schedule, it is one of only a few comics to surpass 1,600 issues. It is most noted for its Judge Dredd stories, and has been contributed to by a number of artists and writers who became renowned in the field internationally, such as Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Grant Morrison, Bryan Talbot, Brian Bolland, Garth Ennis and Mike McMahon.

Northlanders #21 (Ongoing)

Eng | RS & Hotfile | CBR | Vertigo (DC) | Oct 28 2009 | 30 Pages | 18.6 MB
+ Northlanders Issues #1-20 Complete

Northlanders is an American comic book series published by DC Comics under their Vertigo imprint. The stories are fictional but set in and around historical events during the Viking Age. Northlanders is written by Brian Wood, illustrated by various artists on a per storyline basis with painted cover art by Massimo Carnevale. The first issue of the series was published on December 5, 2007. Wood has said that the series will be divided into standalone eight issue story arcs separated by two-issue arcs. Northlanders does not have a true main character; the cast and setting change with each story arc. Issue #21 starts a brand new story arc, titled “The Plague Widow.” After a full four issues of two-issue arcs, the series is back to its original format of longer stories placed squarely in the Viking lore. With each story arc, "Northlanders" follows a different character in a tenth- or eleventh-century setting where Vikings have made their mark; sometimes the protagonist is a Viking, as in the first arc, "Sven," while in others the heroes are fighting desperately to repel the Norse invaders. This series may perhaps be one of the best monthly comic books, along with Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead.

Superman: Secret Origin #2 (Of 6)

Eng | RS & Hotfile | CBR | DC Comics | Oct 28 2009 | 35 Pages | 24.5 MB
+ Superman: Secret Origin #1

Superman: Secret Origin is a six-issue monthly American comic book limited series written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Gary Frank that has long been announced but finally launched. Superman's origin story, most recently told in 2003's Superman: Birthright, has received numerous retcons and changes in the aftermath of the DC Comics event Infinite Crisis. As such, Superman's origin story in the current DC Comics continuity has yet to be told. This story therefore features what Johns and DC Executive Editor Dan DiDio are calling a "definitive" telling of the origin story of Superman, dealing with his life in Smallville, his first adventure with the Legion of Super-Heroes, his friendship and eventual bitter rivalry with Lex Luthor and his arrival in Metropolis and at the Daily Planet. Dan DiDio decided to have Secret Origin run as its own mini-series, instead of within a Superman title as Johns had done previously with Green Lantern: Secret Origin. DiDio said, "They’ll be doing the definitive origin of Superman as we’ve seen it all take place, and incorporating the changes that we’ve seen or suggested since Infinite Crisis." The series' first issue was released on September 23, 2009 and will run through February of 2010.
