Yahoo messenger link
Here is the shortcut for directly downloading the latest messenger.
http://us.dl1.yimg.com/download.yahoo.com/dl/msgr8/in/ymsgr8us.exe
In the above mentioned link, enter the country that you need and download it easily.
This download is the complete download (9.99 MB for 8.1.0.416) and there is no need to connect to internet and download the other stuffs for installing the messenger.

Change the letters in blue and replace with your country code. If it's United States - us, India - in, United Kingdom - uk, etc

Yahoo update
People who use Yahoo messenger, update with the latest vulnerability patch that is added in the latest build.
It's nothing but the same Active X webcam vulnerability and this is not the same patch that was patched on June.

Your password must be at least 18770 characters and cannot repeat any of your previous 30689 passwords
You may get the following error:
"Your password must be at least 18770 characters and cannot repeat any of your previous 30689 passwords. Please type a different password. Type a password that meets these requirements in both text boxes."
This is not a common case; it occurs only when you configure Windows 2000 to authenticate against an MIT Kerberos domain.
Microsoft states that this issue is fixed in their service pack. For more information click here.
